Position Description:
Research openings are available in the Sustainable Energy Technologies Research group led by Dr. Kumaran Kannaiyan in Mechanical Engineering at Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT).
·?????? Research interests are focused on three main directions: (i) Sustainable energy / CO2 utilization, (ii) Alternative fuels, and (iii) Nanofluids in energy applications.
·?????? Research methods include both experimental and numerical approaches.? Experimental approach: The application of optical diagnostics (Shadowgraph/Schlieren, LIF, Raman spectroscopy, Thermohydraulic characteristics).? Numerical approach: Thermodynamic Analysis (MATLAB/EES), CFD simulations using ANSYS-FLUENT.
·?????? Research objectives include: (i) The multiphase thermo-hydraulic behavior of environmentally benign, alternative zeotropic mixtures will be investigated for various applications.? (ii) Spray and combustion characteristics of alternative fuels (low-carbon/non-carbon) for gas turbine applications.?

Duties and Responsibilities:

·?????? Experimental measurements using advanced research tools,
·?????? Data curation
·?????? Publication of research findings in reputed peer-reviewed journals

Required Job Specifications:
·?????? Required qualification / academic degree: Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering. Background in relevant discipline is preferred.
·?????? Required experience:? Relevant prior experience with experimental and/or computational skills is essential.

·?????? Language ability: Good communication skills in English (essential). Knowledge of the Chinese language will be an advantage.
·?????? Ability to work independently and contribute as a team.
