The Mechanical Engineering and Robotics Program (group of Zhujiang Wang) is looking for one Lab Technician to assist in the development of a surgical simulaiton lab and a smart design lab (fabricating 3D printed medical devices). Excellent candidates can be recommended to apply for doctoral studies.

Duties and Responsibilities? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ??

The main duties include:

• Carry out scientific work (simulation and experiments) as advised by the PI

• Responsible for the daily technical and administrative work of the laboratory, assist other researchers to carry out scientific work

• In charge of maintenance of the instrument in the laboratory

• Other duties assigned by the PI

• Write reports and manuscripts in English

• Required qualification / academic degree: Master Degree (or Bachelor Degree with 3+ work experiences) in Mechanical Engineering, Material Sciences, Manufacturing, Civil Engineering, Physics, or in a close field

• Required experience: Interest in medical simulations, virtual reality, lightweight lattice structures, additive manufacturing (previous experience in the field is preferred)

Required Job Competencies? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ??

• Language ability:?Fluent English in speaking, reading and writing (good CET-4, CET-6, IELTS, TOFEL, etc. preferred)

• Excellent communication skill and good team worker

• Strong programming skills, C++, C#, Python, etc. (essential)

• Strong background in numerical analysis (preferred)

• Knowledge of CAD, FEA softwares, 3D printing, mechtronics (preferred)
